Back On My Feet Announces Volunteer Orientation Dates!
NewsNow is your chance to get involved with Back On My Feet!
Hello Chicagoland Back on My Feet supporters!
You’ve all been patiently waiting for information about the new chapter, and we’re excited to announce our team locations, orientation dates, and other exciting ways to get involved with BOMF!
Wednesday, September 22nd will be the first day running in Chicago, but before then there’s lots of exciting events...
What are our teams and where will they be?
We’re proud to announce that our first three BOMF teams will be with the following locations. Each will run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings (Saturday runs start after a month) beginning at 5:45am and ending by 7:00am:
- St. Leonard’s Ministries (2100 W. Warren Blvd)
- YMCA – Lawson House (30 W. Chicago Ave)
- Residents for Effective Shelter Transitions (REST) - Interim Housing (941 Lawrence Ave)

We can’t operate teams at these great locations without your help and that’s where orientations come in. Each new volunteer is required to attend an orientation session prior to starting to run. These orientations will be held at our running store partner Universal Sole (3052 N. Lincoln) and cover;
· Background information about the facilities
· How and why the BOMF program works
· Logistics of participation (start times/locations)
We’ll also have official launch shirts for sale at orientation – picking one up is a great way to show your team unity and support. Universal Sole will also offer an orientation special of 10% off shoes and 20% off all clothing in store (excluding sale items and add on discounts to BOMF clothing). You can register for an orientation session by signing up through the link below!

We also hope that you’ll join us for a tremendous morning as Universal Sole fits all of the inaugural BOMF residential members for their new running shoes on September 21st at 8:00am. It’ll be a morning of excitement and inspiration - you won’t want to miss out! RSVP below:
