Join Universal Sole and The Road To Boston as we continue with this fine tradition of supporting folks running the Boston Marathon (or any spring marathon) here in Chicago. We have the 20 mile route all planned and fully supported. After the run, please join us for food and Goose Island Beer from Grand River (3 doors down from the SOLE). STARTING LOCATION: Universal Sole
ADDRESS: 3052 N. Lincoln Ave
CHECK-IN: 7:00AM
RUN: 8:00AM
DISTANCE: 10 to 20 miles
COURSE: Same as previous years, East on Wellington to the lakefront running path; North to Bryn Mar, back South to Randolph, then North to Wellington, back to the Universal Sole
TIMING: Bring your own watch. This is not a race, it is a training run.
AID STATIONS: There will be 2 or 3 aid stations. If you drink lots of water, wear your fuel belt.
POST-RUN GATHERING & RAFFLE: Grand River Bar & Grill, 3052 N. Lincoln, 3 doors to the right of U. Sole. Opening early at 10AM for us featuring specials for runners!
ENTRY FEE: Absolutely free but please RSVP by e-mailing: theroadtoboston@rcn.com
RAFFLE: Post run…. Your completed liability release form will serve as your raffle ticket
15% DISCOUNT: On all regular price shoes & clothes to partacipants on Sunday, February 28th.
VOLUNTEERS: Yes, seeking volunteers for this event. Bring your smiles and spirit. All volunteers will be entered into the raffle & are welcome to the post-run refreshments
FREE POST-RUN MASSAGES by Andrea
PARKING: 2 hour pay to park street parking on Lincoln Ave. Arrive early and try for the side streets.
DONATE: Your old running shoes to help Chicago’s Homeless & Haiti Relief.
